Family Getaway in Santa Fe

Family Getaway in Santa Fe

On a recent drive to California, we stopped in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We loved it so much that we turned it into an impromptu four-day vacation. I got a lot of questions from friends about the resort we stayed at, so I decided to write a post including all the details.

Q: Where did you stay?
A: We stayed at the Four Seasons Resort at Rancho Encantado. The resort is ten miles outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. We loved our little casita. It was spacious and quiet and had a patio perfect for outdoor breakfast.

Q: What did you like most about the resort?
A:

  • it was dog friendly (they even have a dog room service menu)

  • it was kid friendly (they admitted they don’t get too many young guests, but they were very welcoming and accommodating)

  • the spa (loved the variety of local treatment options like the Blue Corn and Honey Renewal)

  • the grounds (the resort sits on 50 acres of land and features expansive views. Because it’s outside of town, you get the feeling of being secluded. It is very calming.)

  • the on-site hiking (I loved that we didn’t have to leave the resort to go hiking. The whole trail around the property is about a mile. They do offer free shuttles to other hikes and excursions if you are interested in sightseeing.)

  • the service (the staff were eager to help us and made us feel at home)

  • the views (those from the casita and multiple locations on the property were breathtaking. I’m a sucker for expansive views and the sunsets were magical.)

Q: Would you go back to this resort?
A: In a heartbeat!

Q: Would you recommend Santa Fe, New Mexico for a vacation?
A: Yes! I never thought about going there, but I’m so glad we did. It is now on my list of my top ten places in the US. The people are pleasant, the culture is rich, and there is an overall feeling of peace there.

Note: This post is not sponsored. I paid for my full stay there.

I hope you guys get to check it out!
