Adventures in Dolores Park
Mission Dolores Park is one of the largest and most versatile parks in the city. There is something for everyone here and depending on what day/time you go it can either be calm and peaceful or loud and lively.
The park covers about 16 Acres and has tennis courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, two off-leash dog areas, a playground and plenty of green open spaces. It is also home to various festivals throughout the year.
El parque "Mision Dolores" es unos de los parques mas grandes y versátiles de la ciudad. Hay algo para todos allí y dependiendo del día y la hora en que vayan puede ser tranquilo y pacifico o fuerte y animado.
El parque cubre mas de 16 acres y tiene cancha de tenis, una campo de fútbol, una cancha de baloncesto, dos areas para los perros sin correas, una area para los niños y un montón de espacios bien verdes y abiertos para disfrutar. También es el hogar de muchos festivales durante el año.
There are two things that make this park really special for me:
1. the amazing view from the top of the park
2. the massive slide in the playground.
Hay dos cosas que hacen este parque realmente especial para mi.
1. El panorama increible que se ve desde la cima del parque.
2. El deslizadero jigante que tiene en el area para los niños.
Atlas loves the playground and also chasing pigeons around the park. He's too small to go down the slide alone so I usually go with him.
Parking can be a little tricky sometimes since it's only street parking and there are some pretty steep hills in the area. So plan on getting your workout in for the day! If you don't want to deal with finding street parking the J-line MUNI train stops right at the park.
If you are going with kids I recommend going in the morning when parking is easier and the park is not super crowded.
Atlas ama la zona de juegos y perseguir las palomas por todo el parque, aun esta muy pequeño para deslizarse solo así que por lo general me deslizo con el.
El estacionamiento puede ser un poco difícil algunas veces porque solo hay en la calle y algunas calles del area son bastante empinadas, así que ten en cuenta que harás el ejercicio del día.
Para ir con los niños les recomiendo que lo hagan en las mananas cuando el parque no esta demasiado congestionado y el estacionamiento es mas fácil.
