Sep 7 Brunch at Terrain Cafe in Palo Alto

The city of Palo Alto is about 35 miles from San Francisco and has a lot of shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities you can do with kids. When we go as a family we go to the Stanford Shopping Center. It's an outdoor mall where Atlas can run around and it has good shops and food.

Recently, we found a great brunch place at this mall that is connected to the Anthropologie store. Because it is part of the store you can tell they keep the Anthropologie aesthetic in mind. Its decor is rustic and natural with things like hanging terrariums and pops of colorful flowers.

Terrain Cafe is kid friendly and also serves a delicious brunch.

Palo Alto es una ciudad que esta a unas 35 millas de San Francisco.

Ahí hay muchos almacenes, restaurantes y actividades al aire libre que pueden hacer con los niños. Nos gusta ir al centro comercial "Stanford Shopping Center" situado en la ciudad de Palo Alto, porque es al aire libre, Atlas puede correr y jugar, la comida es muy buena y los almacenes también.

Recientemente encontramos un restaurante especial par el brunch (desayuno- almuerzo) que se llama Terrain Cafe, esta conectado al almacén de Anthropologie. Porque es parte de este almacén, se puede notar que aprecian y conservan la belleza y decoración de Anthropology . Su decoración es rústica y natural con cosas como terrarios colgantes y estallidos de flores colorida.

Este cafe es apto para niños y sirven un brunch delicioso.

What makes it kid friendly? They have a large kids’ menu, plenty of seating indoor and out and high chairs.

The menu looks like it changes seasonally but they always serve fresh, warm bread that is baked in a clay flower pot. It is the cutest bread presentation I have seen. The butter you get with it has salt and cardamom in it and it's super tasty. My favorite dish was the "Toad In A Hole" which was egg in brioche served with asparagus. It was not huge but had plenty of flavors and kept me satisfied. I also recommend the quinoa pancakes as a healthier option. Atlas liked those a lot.

Que lo hace apto para niños? Tiene un gran menu para niños, tiene muchos asientos adentro y afuera y también, sillitas altas para ellos.

El menu parece cambiar de acuerdo a las estaciones, pero siempre sirven pan fresco y caliente que esta horneado en una olla de barro de flores, es la presentación de pan mas linda que he visto.

La mantequilla que te dan tiene sal y semilla aromatica de la familia de la planta de Ginger y es muy sabrosa. Mi plato favorito fue el de los huevos en una canasta servidos con espárragos; no era enorme cantidad, pero tenia mucho sabor y quede muy satisfecha.

También les recomiendo los Pancakes (torticas ) de quinoa como alternativa saludable. A Atlas le gustaron mucho.
