Sep 25 Colorful, Kid Friendly Restaurant in Marin County

My good friends Jessica and Jordan invited me to lunch at the popular Puerto Rican restaurant, Sol Food. It is located on the corner of 3rd Street and Lincoln Avenue in downtown San Rafael. When I saw the line out the door I got nervous that it would be hard to get in with Atlas.

However, it is actually super kid friendly! The staff manage the line very well and help you get a table that works for kids. They gave us a high chair and stored the stroller in the back of the restaurant for me. They also gave Atlas some green plantains to play with while we waited for our food.

The food came out fast and was delicious. We tried the plantain fried prawns and sautéed beef dish. You can see the full menu here.

If you don't want to wait in line they also have a takeout restaurant right outside called the Bodega (market). The menu is slightly different and smaller but equally tasty. (see photos of both below)

Mis buenas amigas Jessica y Jordan me invitaron a almorzar al famoso restaurante puerto riqueno, Sol Food. Cuando vi la linea afuera de la puerta me puse un poco nerviosa pensando que no iba a ser fácil entrar con atlas y el coche; pero no fue así, al contrario ahí son muy amables con los niños. Este es un lugar muy acogedor para los niños, el personal manejo muy bien la linea, nos ayudaron a encontrar una mesa que se acomodaba para el niño, nos trajeron una sillita alta de comer para atlas y se llevaron el coche para la parte de atrás del restaurante para guardarlo allí.

Le dieron a Atlas unos platanos verdes para que jugara mientras que esperábamos nuestra comida.

La comida la sirvieron rápido y estaba deliciosa, probamos el platano frito con langostinos y el plato de ternera salteado. Puedes ver el menu completo aquí.

Si no quieres esperar en la linea, también tienen un restaurante que es para llevar, justo ahi afuera llamado La Bodega (mercado) el menu es diferente y mas reducido pero igual de delicioso.
