Small Foods: Our Go-To Neighborhood Spot
Small foods has become our go-to neighborhood spot for coffee, flowers and local snacks.
I'm not really sure what to categorize it as since it's part grocery store part deli part coffee shop that also sells Farmgirl Flowers. Maybe an upscale and trendy convenience store?
I go there often so I have tried the breakfast, coffee and also the sandwiches from the deli. It's all good food.
Breakfast is served until 11 am and includes things like oatmeal with fresh berries (not sweetened), English muffins and bagels or a breakfast sandwich. During lunch they have grab and go salads and sandwiches made to order. I usually try the special or the roast beef sandwich. I take my sandwich and an Iced coffee and head to South Park around the corner.
The coffee bar serves Four Barrel coffee. They also sell kambucha, smoothies, beer and wine.
I like their selection of local grocery foods and I go there anytime I want to try a new snack or when I make gift baskets for guests.
My absolute favorite part is that they sell Farmgirl Flowers. The arrangements are beautiful and I can choose from a small one in a vase or a large bouquet. They have new arrangements every week.
Even though it's a small place I never have a problem going there with Atlas in his stroller. The staff are always friendly and the service is fast.
Small Foods is located at 522 2nd St. in SOMA. Check them out if you are in the area!
Cheers,
Ana
